Weeknight specials - improving our offers

As promised in a previous post, we are refreshing the menu here at The Bell Inn and we wanted to start by updating you on our weeknight specials.

We have listened to our customers and will be making the following improvements, starting from Tuesday 17 March. We hope you like them!

First off, the steak special, pie special and fish and chip special are all staying. Plus it's worth mentioning these are special offers that run alongside our normal menu - so if you don't fancy the special offer, you can choose from our other dishes.

We're revising our curry special, as it hasn't been as popular. We will do curries as a special from time-to-time, but not as a regular night. What we hope to do is offer a wider range of curries as a feature night, providing more choice for everyone when we do run a curry evening.

So, back to the regular special offers and what we've done to improve them.

Tuesday steak special

The steak night special is ever-popular, so we have sourced an even better steak from our local butcher, R&S Wares in Torrington - a prime 6oz sirloin which will be served with all the trimmings: chips, beer-battered onion-rings, mushroom, tomato and garden peas for just £10.95.

Wednesday pie special

Pies, pubs and a pint go hand-in-hand so we have done some searching for the perfect pie and found some award-winning options. With fillings such as Aberdeen Angus shin of beef in red wine and Oak Smoked Salmon in a vermouth and parsley cream, we have to agree with those awards. We'll always have a choice of three or four on offer and you can enjoy your pie with creamy mash or chips, peas and our homemade gravy. What's even better is you will also get a FREE pint of real ale or cider to enjoy with your meal (or you can swap this for a glass of our house wine if you'd prefer!) All for special offer price of £11.95.

Friday fish and chips special

We batter our fish fillets in our homemade beer batter and serve them in the classic way: with chunky chips and either mushy or garden peas. A Friday night favourite for just £8.95.

All our weeknight specials are available from 6.30pm. Come and try them and enjoy a great value meal, even on a school night!
