New dishes

As promised, our new menu includes some brand new dishes to enjoy. We'll share a few with you today to whet your appetite!

For those looking for a lunch option, we have our ploughman's platter, with cheddar cheese, sliced ham, pork pie, scotch egg (all locally sourced), silverskin pearl onions, homemade chutney, fresh bread and salad.

If it's brunch you're after, why not try our new eggs benedict or eggs florentine, served on a toasted muffin with our creamy hollandaise sauce.

Added to our starters and light bites, we have a new salt and pepper squid starter, served with sweet chilli dip and BBQ chicken wings, with our homemade whisky and BBQ sauce.

Onto our mains - fish and chips are now permanently on the menu (and also remain on a special deal on Fridays). We also have a great new burger for you to try - the surf, turf and cluck burger! We'll leave you guessing until Monday and we publish the new menu on our website as to what that involves, but rest assured, it's a beast of a feast!

We have also introduced a range of new dishes that are suitable for vegetarians: a ricotta and spinach tortellini in a creamy mushroom sauce; a halloumi and roasted pepper burger, two new delicious vegetarian pies (which will be available on pie night and our specials board) and our butternut squash tart.

As mentioned, the new menu will be published in full on our website on Monday 16 March and available from Tuesday 17 March, so do come and try it out!
