Halloween spooktacular! Saturday 31 October 2020

As the Eve of All Hallows draws near, we felt the need to not give up entirely on all the fun stuff in 2020 and put something together to mark the occasion! It's also the first anniversary of our tenure at The Bell Inn and, quite frankly, with everything 2020 has thrown at us, we feel like we should celebrate in some way!

We are therefore planning a special evening with a ghoulish menu, fancy dress and some fun themed quiz rounds for you and your table to tackle throughout the evening.

The evening will start at 6pm. We'll serve a starter platter to each table and you'll have the first round of devilish quiz questions to answer as you enjoy your blood dippers and brain splatter bread!

Once you have finished this off, we'll serve your pre-ordered mains, choosing from Mr Pumpkin Head's brains, Dark Night Pasta or our Bloody Burger! Another round of shiver-inducing questions will also be shared for you to devour.

We'll then offer the dessert menu, or you can add coffee (or just more drinks!) to round off your evening. Plus we'll be seeing which table came out top in the quiz questions and who has won the best fancy dress competition.

It's £20 per person for the two-course meal. Desserts will be available at £4.95 each on the night if you fancy a sweet treat to end with. We'll be observing all the usual Covid-safe measures, with tables limited to 6 people, all distanced at 1m plus. Music will be kept to the required level and you'll need to bring your mask with you to move around the pub (unless you're exempt). We'll be taking last orders at 9.30pm to ensure we close on time for the 10pm curfew.

As with all events at present, this is subject to late cancellation if we encounter any delights such as a local lockdown that puts restrictions in place and prevents us from going ahead. For that reason, it might be best to keep your costumes homemade and cheap! We will of course give as much notice as possible if we do have to make changes.
