Christmas is just around the corner!

It's hard to believe but we really are quite close to the c-word already! And this year may be one that needs a healthy amount of planning to get booked in to celebrate with family and friends. Whilst it looks like we may not have anywhere near the level of restrictions we had last year in the run-up to the festive season, things are not yet back to normal. We have therefore decided to run our festive menus a little differently this year.

We will have a selection of festive specials (see opposite) that will be available from mid-November through to the end of December, alongside our usual menu. So if you fancy a more festive-themed meal, then you'll be able to indulge! This will include our ever-popular turkey burger, a Christmas venison pie and duck breast in redcurrant and port sauce.

As well as this, we will also be running several Festive Carvery Nights in the pub to provide a traditional roast Christmas dinner (see menu below), with a choice of starters and/or puddings. This will be priced at £25 for two courses or £30 for three courses. The carvery will include a choice of turkey or beef sirloin with all the trimmings and we'll pop some fun games on your table to add to the festive feel! On these nights, it will just be the Christmas Carvery available to ensure we can get everyone served and celebrating as quickly as we're able. The dates we currently have pencilled in for this are:

Friday 3 December 6.30pm onwards (last table 8pm)

Saturday 11 December 6.30pm onwards (last table 8pm)

Saturday 18 December 6.30pm onwards (last table 8pm)

Thursday 16 December 6.30pm onwards (last table 8pm)

Thursday 23 December 6.30pm onwards (last table 8pm)

We can cater for larger groups on these evenings, so if you're after a fun festive party for your club, workplace or friends, then please get in touch as soon as possible so we can get you booked in. We will take pre-orders for all starters and desserts and also a deposit of £5 per head (refundable if someone contracts Covid 19 and has to cancel, or with reasonable notice).

We can also look at running a Christmas Carvery meal for large parties of 20 or more on other dates if you can be in touch before the middle of November to let us know and help you get this organised.

So, whilst it may be a little different, we hope it will give you the chance to come and enjoy a Christmas celebration with us, and most importantly, your friends and family! Please do get booked in as soon as you can to avoid disappointment. Please also note we will not be serving food on Christmas Day. We do plan however (all things allowing), to be open for our usual Christmas drinks and raffle from 12 noon to 2pm. Boxing day we will be open in the evening for drinks with the brilliant Bicycle Repair Man joining us for some live music - the perfect way to dance off all the Christmas leftovers!
