Now we are able to open again inside the pub we are pleased to announce that we can re-start our Sunday carvery! Our first one will be on Sunday 6 June.
Served from 1pm to 3pm, the carvery is always a firm favourite. We'll be serving our usual three meats, but with a slight twist - they'll now be slow-roasted for several hours, gently in our smoker. We'll have beef, pork and turkey, sourced from Wares Butchers in Torrington, who make sure we have the best quality meat we can possibly get. The slow-roasting process ensures a beautiful, succulent joint, with a very lightly smoked outer crust that adds a hit of caramelised flavour around the edge of each juicy slice.
The joints will be served with all the usual trimmings: roast potatoes, yorkshires, freshly steamed vegetables, cauliflower cheese and always something a bit different such as butternut squash mash, smoked mac n cheese or crispy creamy leeks. We'll also always have our vegetarian or vegan options available - please just ask when you book for details.
As we can now serve from the carvery again, you can choose what goes on your plate. To remain safe, we plate for you, as you tell us what you'd prefer. And we always pile it high! £12 for an adult's portion, £9 for a child's plate.
